● By using a wide range of data, which
is visualized on an interactive heat
map, users will be able to choose
what data is displayed on the map,
allowing them to create a story based
on the data that is being visualized.
● Meta-Jersey provides a tool for journalists
that can aid them in understanding what is
causing the change of the New Jersey
census.

5. ● New Jersey is going through a lot of demographic
changes. Many of the people who have been in New
Jersey for many years have been leaving. A big part of
the population that has been here for many years has
been retiring or leaving New Jersey. There are many
reasons people might leave. Some are leaving for lower
taxes, better jobs, lower prices, or warmer weather.
● There are also many more immigrants that have been
coming to New Jersey which have replaced the people
who have left.
● We created a map that shows why people leave each
section of New Jersey and which parts of New Jersey
have the most immigrants. The map is interactive to
allow people to look through the data on the map.
