This document provides instructions for a design project where students are asked to create a piece that reflects the style and form of a chosen artist, while still being their own original creation. Students are directed to research an artist of their choosing, answer questions about the artist's work and techniques, and use that information to sketch out and develop their own piece that is influenced by but not a copy of the artist's work. The document emphasizes that the goal is for students to challenge themselves and use multiple classes/hours to carefully develop high quality, original work inspired by another artist.
