• This is a form of “Rule of Law” because
because the people with the most power
could not over power it

• It took place in England in 1688
• King William III took over as King
• English Bill Of Rights started the Glorious
Revolution

The English Bill of Rights was written in
1689.
• It began a trend in Europe against
monarchy.
• It gave more power to elected officials.

The enlightenment was a philosophical
movement of the 18th century.
• It was rejected on traditional social,
religious, and political ideas
• Took place in the 18th century.
• It is important because it rejected the idea
that we should accept anything the Church
says

writing the declaration of independence.
• He switched the word "property" to "pursuit
of happiness" because it was more of an
universal term.
