social media sites
• 71% of 16-24 year olds access the internet using a
mobile phone

• There’s been an estimated 400% rise in mobile
searches over the last 2 years
• Your customers are accessing Google on their mobile
to find your premises
• Customers are using social media ‘check in’ tools to
promote places they like
• Customers are increasingly downloading apps to help
them carry out specific activities – including making
transactions
Yet, nearly 46% of all business are still invisible through
mobile search

Is your business/website listed when you carry out a Google

Do you know how your potential and existing customers are
using mobile devices?

• Check out if your website is mobile ready
• If it’s not, contact your web designer or a
mobile specialist to get mobile ready
• Be clear what you want your mobile site to do:
– What are your goals? How do they differ from
your main website?
– Do you want to carry out transactions?
– What is the call to action?
12. What does the future hold?
By the end of 2012, 16 UK cities –
including Glasgow and Edinburgh - will
have access to the new, superfast 4G
network.
