Gotham typeface family
The Gotham typeface was initially commissioned by GQ magazine, whose editors wanted to display a sans-serif with a
“geometric structure” that would look “masculine, new, and fresh” for their magazine.
The lettering that inspired this typeface originated from the style of 1920s era sans-serifs like Futura, where “Type, like
architecture, like the organization of society itself, was to be reduced to its bare, efficient essentials, rid of undesirable,
local or ethnic elements.”
15. Black the color of elegance or class (such as a black-tie only event, and
black evening gowns.) Black can also represent ideas such as power,
sophistication, formality, wealth, mystery, depth and style.
Black expresses the depths of the unknown, and encourages the
imagination of a different world from that of daylight realities.
16. The color gray is a timeless and practical color. Dark, charcoal gray
communicates some of the strength and mystery of black. It is a
sophisticated color that lack the negativity of the color black. Light grays
can carry some of the attributes of the color white (White represent
reverence, purity, simplicity, humility, youth, clarity, snow, good, cold,
clinical, and sterile).
The gray color affects the mind and body, the phrase “gray matter”
refers to smarts, intelligence, brains, and intellect

30. Patterns have an underlying mathematical structure; indeed,
mathematics can be seen as the search for regularities, and the output of
any function is a mathematical pattern. Similarly in the sciences, theories
explain and predict regularities in the world.
In architecture, motifs are repeated in various ways to form patterns.
Most simply, structures such as windows can be repeated horizontally
and vertically, this can be used and repeat decorative and structural
elements such as columns, pediments, and lintels.
To achieve this, the icon was used creating a pattern of energy and
movement also creating a facade of structure.
40. African Eagle
A symbol of power and will help one achieve
specific goals. The African Eagle has excellent vision
and is thus a symbol of the farsightedness.
This can be a great add on to the Sakhisizwe brand
philosophy as it does share the same characteristics.
Uses: décor, art, secondary or supporting graphics.
41. The Sun
The sun represents glory, authority and something
that is bright. The sun gives to us happiness, a sense
of spiritual and life. The sun that comes up in the
morning represents hope.
This can be a great add on to the Sakhisizwe brand
