2. How tame is inflation today?
• In recent years inflation feels tame near 2%
but normally it’s twice that high, and at times
more than 5 times that high. What’s that like?
• Say you sold a business today for $3Million, or
inherited or won that much, or got a pension
worth that much. Should this money be a key
to your income and financial security for life?

3. How fast does inflation eat
wealth?
• Consider inflation at 2% ....and at 8%
• Having $3Million today, within 15 years
– 2% inflation steals 25% even if you spent nothing.
– 8% inflation steals 70% even if you spent nothing.
• Do you see yourself living long enough for
inflation to eat away and steal your fortune,
your savings, the income you need for life?

4. Three ways of seeing our future
