1. Towards a new semantically enriched geo-
processing tool adapted to the Territorial
Intelligence and socio-ecological foresight main
thematics

2. Context and motivations
● From the institutional point of view:
● The CERMA lab. in the Ambiances Architecturales
et Urbaines French CNRS unit,
● The Espaces et SOciétés French CNRS unit,
● From the action-research point of view:
● Feedback from the (instrumental part of the)
Ambioflux urbains interdisciplinary research project,
● Towards a systemic approach of the conception of
pedestrian city tours…
● Implementation of a spatial formalism in a
dedicated framework.
3. Ambioflux
Intents/Imprints - Marker/Attractor
● PIRVE's interdisciplinary research project,
● Objectives:
● Ambients intents, execution plan (ambient
markers),
● Ambients practical experience, spatial imprints
(ambient attractors)
● Study the transformation process from markers to
attractors (what's the trigger?),
● Geo-processing: spatial transcription of perceiving
qualities.
4. Ambioflux – instrumental part
● Simplifications:
● Visual- or soundscape perception → partial isovists
or acoustic indices computations made by a
visual/acoustic sensor/device;
● Pedestrian mobility → the mobile sensor move
without real freedom degree, constant speed on the
rails ;
● Urban environment → 2D building layer (BD Topo,
from French national provider of reference
geographic information, IGN) ;
● Impact of the visual- or soundscape → compare
several fingerprints all along the pathway.
8. Perspectives - outlook
● AmbUPAH project
● Toward a new prototype to assess urban
patrimonial surroundings – implementation in the
specific case of some pedestrian tours (in cities
labeled VPAH) in the Pays de la Loire French
region…
