Incumbent Worker Training GrantAt-risk Indicators Declining sales Change in business philosophy Adverse market trends Strong possibility of a job if worker attains new skills Supply chain issues Worker does not have in-demand skills Other at-risk factors
Incumbent Worker Training GrantLimits and Match One or more training initiatives totaling up to $15,000.00 per business/per year In-kind match of 10%, 25% or 50% required In-kind match may be achieved by the salary and benefits of incumbents while actively involved in training
Incumbent Worker Training GrantTraining Options Skill based training that demonstrates measurable benefits for the employer and the employee Employer selected training providers Internal training initiatives are allowable Whenever possible in-state and community college training providers are preferred
Incumbent Worker Training Grant Sample Project Small business needs to train a receptionist to be a bookkeeper Employer contacts a Business Services Representative together they complete the application Application for the grant is approved for $2,000
Incumbent Worker Training GrantSample Project The business finalizes agreement with their training provider and schedules an accounting course Receptionist completes training and earns a certificate Business in-kind match is 10% or $200.00 Wages and benefits of the incumbent equals or exceeds the $200.00 match Employer is reimbursed full $2,000.00 paid for training
