2. Belgian teachers have preferred this
song because we can only work on a
project like this, if we coordinate
teachers, students, parents, principals
of a same school but also from the
other partner schools. And together
we’ve achieved many great things this
school year.
“We are the champions”
by Queen
We work together to present
some great products like a
video, interviews etc to show
that people from all over
Europe can successfully work
together and achieve wonderful
goals by helping each other and
cooperate.
3. Thrift shop by Macklemore
Students have chosen “Thrift shop”
by Macklemore because this song
encourages young people to use
clothes that have already been worn in
order not to judge people on what they
own but on what they really are. And
it’s really one of the main goals of an
European project: social mixing.
Furthermore every young European
nowadays knows this song; so that’s
music shared by everyone and
reminding good memories of our
weeks together.
That is just a song we listened
to all the time, everyone
knows the lyrics and the video.
That shows that all young
people from all the different
countries do the same and
listen to the same music.
Concerning the content, we
should not evaluate people
due to their clothes or
materialistic issues but for
their character.
4. Tunak Tunak
Tun
by Daler Mehndi
Tunak Tunak Tun,
because greek people
told us how to dance it
and, in almost every
break we had, danced it.
Plus it's a very typical
song and it's very
funny!
5. La Macarena
by Los de Rio
…because when
the show ended
everyone who
was still there
danced it and it
was amazing
seeing so much
people dancing a
spanish song.
Plus, everyone
from everywhere
knew how to
dance it, and we
had a great time
dancing
together!
6. “On Top of the World” talks
about the feeling of looking
forward for what’s to come, in
this case our trip. But not only
the trip, but the benefits that
come after it. When we went to
Greece we set our minds free and
acted a bit more like ourselves,
we felt like we were “on top of
the world” from a spiritual point
of view. So when we came back,
we were not only tired, but we
brought with us the happiness
and freedom of mind that we
gained there. And we continue
like that until this moment.

7. “Rise up” is a song that talks about how we should try to achieve
what we want and what we care the most, in this case an
incredible opportunity to travel abroad and meet new people,
many of them now our friends. Tell us to rise up, stand, and
overcome the barrier that separates a different culture from what
it is known to us, and to enjoy each and every moment of our
experience.
by Yves LaRock
8. The message is simple – we
need to take from life the best
things. We are young and the
possibility of travelling around
the Europe gives us a chance
for amazing adventure. We
can experience other cultures,
traditions. This is the
opportunity to make our
dreams come true.
Wonderful
life
by Black
9. I’m pretty sure that everybody
knows this song and lyrics. It’s
about our lives. We ought to
enjoy life as much as possible.
And every young person must
agree with me.
It’s My Life
by Bon Jovi
10. This song is about the power of youth. This feeling you
have when you are a teenager gives you the power of
changing the whole world and nothing can stop you.
by Queen
11. This song is about avoiding violence
before it goes too far. This song
says that using physical violence is
never ok and should be avoided at
all cost. You have to fight against
violence for a free world by using
democratical ways and dialogue.
It’s very basic, stop fighting and just
get along, stop trying to be tough
and start loving each other.
Beat it
by Michael Jackson
12. We’ve chosen this
song because all the
days we’ve spend
together were
beautiful. We must
learn to live the day
and not to let it get
away because
happiness is just the
small everyday things.
If we let them go and
wait for the big ones,
we miss the point of
life. So, thank you for
all the wonderful
moments we had
together.
Beautiful Day
by U2
13. Through this programme,
we’ve learned to respect the
fact that we are different and
to live together peacefully. But,
although we are different, we
share some common
characteristics and we, finally,
all became friends. We’ve
chosen this song because it
talks about unity and that we
all have the same dreams and
love each other.

14. The Comenius
song
A year ago, children from
seven different countries met
each other in Belgium, the first
station of our Comenius
“travel”.
This song, which came about
by putting lyrics
spontaneously on existing
music, signifies the
enthusiasm of which all were
overwhelmed in that meeting,
the cooperative spirit and the
joy of participation.
