2. Treatment
• My idea is simple and relatable to the majority of my target audience. My
drama/comedy programme idea is based around a friendship group of five 18 year
old students who have just left college and have only a year until they go their
separate ways to university. Once they have left the reality of the end of their
education hits them and they create a sort of ‘bucket list’ of things they’d like to
complete by the end of their gap year. The recognisable location is a
kitchen/lounge in one of their homes. My clip will be 2 minutes long; however, my
overall product would be approximately 3 series long.
• In my research, I found that male university students between the ages of 19-21
were most likely to watch the show. My target audience is therefore social class B
males and females between the ages of 15-35.
• In my opinion, this show will be extremely popular because the characters reflect
the demographics of the target audience. I aim for my show to be relatable and for
it to build up suspense and drama in a successful and professional way, yet also
adding a humorous element to it.
• My production is a feasible idea because although it is a successful idea, the
locations it is set in are accessible and realistic. It will be independently financed
by the crew members.

3. Characters
Jade; 18 years old, thin, good looking stylish and sophisticated.
Very self absorbed and self conscious, likes to be the centre of
attention, especially around boys
Holly; 18 years old, medium build, constantly being guided by jade
on how to dress and act, doesn’t care much about how she looks
but is attractive. Has been in a relationship with Jordan for 2 years.
Jordan; 19 years old; looks after the whole group, very kind, caring
and intelligent. Is in a relationship with holly. Has a love/hate
relationship with Jade because he thinks she’s always trying to
change his girlfriend.
Daniel; 18 years old; has no common sense and is always coming
out with stupid remarks. Adds humour to the group. Thinks he’s
very popular with girls but really he isn’t.
Sam; 18 years old; very sports orientated, very intelligent and good
looking and has lots of luck with girls, known Jade since he was
born and is very close to her.
