Vocations to Diocesan Priesthood
The Elphin Diocese is now accepting enquires from prospective men
who may wish to join Diocesan Priesthood in our Diocese. Further
information from our Diocesan Vocation Director, Fr. Jim Murray.
The new study year for students begins in august
Vocations Weekend: This Weekend is dedicated to prayer for
Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life. While both the age profile in our
diocese continue to increase and the demands are more pressing, numbers attending
the seminary in Maynooth are very small. The future of our Church rests in the
response of those who the Lord is calling and their generosity to accept that call. Let
us pray for Vocations with a firm heart and steady conviction.

Garden of Resurrection – Visit and Pray
Our Easter Garden of Resurrection is at the front of the altar. It celebrates the
message of Easter – the reality the cross is not the end but a new beginning. Our
garden of life reminds us of the Resurrection and the importance of recognising the
risen Lord on the road of life. This week let us pray for our deceased family members
and friends with a pray and candle.
Parish Information
We are continuing to work on the new history book of our Parish. This book will
reflect the wide history of our community, Church, School, G.A.A., Holy Well and
beyond. If you have old photographs from parish or school events, please contact the
Parish office. All photographs will be returned. Also, historical stories, folklore, or
reflections on the parish and wider community in the past would be very helpful.
