2. Prince Pippin wants to marry a princess. “Let’s have a
princess party” (says the queen)
“And find the perfect princess for Prince Pippin (says the
King)

3. Two princesses come over the mountain.
Two princesses come over the river.
One princess even comes over the sea.
They all want to marry Prince Pippin!

4. The King, the queen, Prince Pippin and Felicity
fairy look at all the princesses. “But…which is the
perfect princess?” asks the queen. Felicity fairy

5. Felicity fairy is busy! She puts 1,2,3,4,5,6 mattresses on the
beds. Under the very bottom mattress she puts a tiny Little
pea.
“What are you doing?” (asks the King)
“Shh!” (says Felicity fairy) “Only a perfect princess can feel the
tiny Little pea!”

6. The King and the queen and Prince Pippin have a princess party. “We
don’t like pears!” (say the grumpy princesses). “I’m so sleepy!” (says
the sleepy princess). “I’m so beautiful!(says the vain princess).
“Yummy yummy. I like everything!”(says the greedy princess).
“Oh dear” (says the king)

7. The princesses go to bed. “Good night princesses. Sleep well” (says
the queen). “Give it to me! It’s mine!” (says the grumpy princesses).
“Zzzzzzz” (says the sleepy princess). “ I am so beautiful” (says the vain
princess). “Yummy yummy!” (says the greedy princess)

8. In the morning the queen goes to see the princesses. “We don’t like
getting up!” (says the grumpy princesses).”I’m so sleepy” (says the
sleepy princess). “I’m so beautiful” (says the vain princess). “Yummy
yummy!” (says the greedy princess).But no one of the princesses says
anything about the tiny Little pea!

9. “Goodbye princesses” (says the Prince Pippin)
“Goodbye Prince Pippin!” (say the princesses)

10. “Look!” Here’s another princess.
“Hello!”(she says) “I’m Princess Flower. Sorry I’m
late!”
“Come in” (says Prince Pippin)

11. The King, the queen and the Prince Pippin have tea with
Princess Flower. “Would you like a sándwich?” (asks the
king).
“Thank you very much” (says the Princess Flower)

12. Princess Flower goes to bed. “Good night”
(says the queen) “Sleep well!”

13. In the morning Princess Flower is very sleepy. “What’s
the matter?” (asks the queen).”I’m very sleepy!” (says
the princess) “There was a pea in my bed!”
“Oh!” (says the queen) “Princess Flower is the perfect
princess!”

14. Prince Pippin is very happy. He likes Princess
Flower!
