Let me be clear, there is a huge difference between qualified and just
someone’s name and email. You want leads that are open to network
marketing and interested in a home business.
That’s why I do not recommend paying for leads.

5. Warm Market Leads
This is the most readily available list of leads as well as the ones you have the most influence
over. It’s also one of the most dreaded list of leads for most network marketers and direct sellers.
This is the list you are told to make by your upline when you first join your company. You know,
the one with all your friends and family. The truth is sometimes it’s a lot harder to approach
those who also have the most influence over you as well.
It’s harder to hear a NO or get blown off by people you care about and are sure are going to be
every bit excited about what excites you, than it is from strangers. However, your warm market
list is where you really need to start. Unless you have been in a dozen different failed network
marketing opportunities and hit them up with all of them, you should have some credibility with
these folks. Use it!
When you make your warm market list, start with friends, family, aquaintences, neighbors, who
you do business with and then branch out to people they know. This should give you a pretty
extensive list that you will continually be adding to.

6. Lifestyle Leads
Lifestyle prospecting is how my term for the every day out and about things you do. This should supply your
business with plenty of leads as well. You know, just talking to people you come across each day.
When you are at a restaurant, talk to the waitress. When shopping talk to the sales clerks and the people at the
register. Anywhere there is an opportunity to slip your business in, do it!
When casually chatting with a stranger ask them what they do. They will almost always ask you what you do
back. This is your open door. Get names, email addresses and phone numbers when you can. Otherwise, give
them a one liner about your business and a business card and sample.
My main business is a health and weight loss company. My biggest selling product helps regulate blood sugar in
diabetics and helps people to lose weight.

“Hi, I market for a health company who has a new product in this
area. Who do you know that is diabetic, pre-diabetic or struggles to
lose weight? If I give you my card, will you please pass it along to
those people you may know?”
Then I give them 2 cards. Sometimes I get a deer in the headlights
look, but most of the time, I can tell the wheels are turning!
So this is what I say to strangers who I really didn’t get a chance to
chat up (like a busy checker or hostess) but still want to tell them
about my business…
