Introduction to ArtificiaI Intelligence in Higher Education
Colour 05
1. The colour temperature is
a characteristic of visible
light that has important
applications in lighting,
photography, videography,
publishing, manufacturing,
astrophysics, horticulture,
and other fields.
2. The colors of red, orange, and yellow are
considered warm colors because they are
the colors of fire. These hues are also said
to advance, meaning they appear to come
forward, making the walls feel closer.
Thus, they can actually make a room feel
cozy when used in decorating
3. Warm colours are made with orange, red,
yellow and combinations of them all. As
the name indicates, they tend to make you
think of sunlight and heat. Warm colors
look as though they come closer, or
advance (as do dark colors), which is why
they're often used to make large rooms
look cozier. If you have a huge bedroom
that you want to look more "particular"
try painting a warm color such as "terra
cotta" or brown to make it feel cozier
4. Cool colors are based
on blues, greens,
pinks, purples, blue-
greens, magentas,
and true "blue-based"
reds.
Because these colors
have a tendency to feel
like they are receding,
cool tones are often
used to paint the walls
of a small room to
make the room appear
larger.
