Description of the event:
Taking the occasion of the “Small Business Week 2012, ASSORETIPMI Toscany organizes a
workshop about “Networking Enterprises”. The seminar is about the new business model
developed from the Italian adoption of the “Small Business Act for Europe (SBA)” that from
June 2008 has been implemented within Italian form of the “contratto di rete”.
Contest: (SBA) reflects the Commission's political will to recognize the central role of SMEs in the EU
economy and for the first time puts into place a comprehensive SME policy framework for the EU and its
Member States. It aims to improve the overall approach to entrepreneurship, permanently anchor the
'Think Small First' principle in policy making from regulation to public service, and to promote SMEs'
growth by helping them tackle the remaining problems which hamper their development.
"The Small Business Act for Europe applies to all independent companies which have fewer
than 250 employees: 99% of all European businesses".
Event Introduction: The scope of the seminar is to present the business model of networking
enterprise. This new business profile is based on the integration of companies’ processes that can be
called, co-engineering, co-design, co-organization and co-production. The workshop will introduce some
“networking enterprises” operating in different sectors. What will be presented is the evolved business
model, the functionality and advantages of adopting this system. The system implementation is based on
an evolved interaction among single companies involved within their specific tasks to reach a common
scope. “The scope of the networking enterprise model is to propose a single interface to
work with, a system of interconnected companies”. The model is based on closer connection
among single companies that together are capable of producing more and better sharing experiences and
common practice.
The workshop will present some “Networking Enterprises” already operating in Toscany/Italy.
