1. MEMBERSHIP FEES ALIGNMENT WITH THE CFSA’S LONG TERM ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT MODEL & CAN FREESTYLE 2011-2012
2. Introduction The Canadian Freestyle Ski Association is introducing a new membership fee structure beginning on June 1, 2011. The new structure is aligned with the CFSA’s Long Term Athlete Development Model and will simplify the licensing process. New athlete license levels have been introduced based on the CFSA’s flagship program CAN Freestyle. The following presentation outlines the changes made to the CFSA membership system and the new CFSA fees. Your Provincial Sport Organization may charge extra for some license levels; the PSO portion of the fees is not included in this presentation. Registration for the 2011-2012 season opens on June 1, 2011. Visit www.freestyleski.com to register.
3. Why are we making changes? Align the CFSA membership categories and events with LTAD principles and the CFSA LTAD Model through CAN Freestyle. Align membership categories with level of events. Create a uniform membership price across the country for athletes at the Fundamentals, Learn-to-Train and Train-to-Train stages in order to better promote our CAN Free Programs (applies to all PSOs except Quebec). Reduce the number of membership categories. Reduce the frequency of upgrades.
