8. Message from Secretary NNPSS
Hi everyone,
The era of journalism has gone and the people who have
domain expertise excel in the Industry. This is said, read and
heard but very few people imbibe this. If we look at the world
around, it is changing so fast, what we use to learn in school at
the age of 10 is now available at the age 5. Industry across the
globe is changing on rapid basis but whether our professional
curriculums are changing at that pace? It is a question that each
one of us should look for an answer.
Sometime back when we were seeing the analysis of top
potential Industry very few stand apart and one of them was
“Hospitality Industry”. It has lot of factors which are fed as
input to different Industry and economy as a whole.
10. Jaipur – An Education & Tourist Hub

the capital of Rajasthan. It was founded in
1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, the ruler
of Amber. The city was planned according to

planning for the comfort and Prosperity of
the citizens).
It has been claimed to be the first planned
city in India. It was at that time one of the
best planned cities in Asia.
The city is remarkable among pre-modern
India cities for the width and regularity of
its streets which are laid out into six sectors
separated by broad streets which are laid

13. Upcoming Hotels and it’s relevence:
For students of Hotel Management: The Hotel would be an ideal training
ground for „On-the-Job‟ Training, which is a necessary aspect of any
Hospitality & Hotel management / culinary arts program.
For students of Business Management / B-School: The Hotel would act as a
vital aspect during „Placement Week‟, where CHA would invite the Human
Resource representatives for Internships & Placements of our students.
The Conference cum Banquet Hall of the Hotel would also be extremely vital
because Guest lectures would be delivered here by Senior Management of

15. The Program has been designed to be a fine blend of
theoretical and practical inputs and allied areas as well, to
give students a deeper knowledge of the operational,
mechanical & management techniques adopted in Industry.
The grooming methodology helps youngsters with
professional or entrepreneurial aspirations and
determination, to realise their true latent potential, bringing
out their creativity, originality & vibrant nature to the
forefront. It helps students to develop core professional
values of hard work, self-discipline, a sense of purpose &
commitment, time management and realization of their
responsibilities & areas of accountability.
CHA places due emphasis on human values & ethics and as
such, socially too students are guided into evolving a co-
operative team spirit with genuine concern for each other‟s
self-dignity and for social & environmental issues.
16. In keeping with its Mission, CHA has attained a 100% placement record
over the years. Placements at CHA are handled professionally, with
faculty responsible for maintaining close and healthy interaction with
corporates, for internships and final placements. As many as fifteen of our
students have bagged paid Internships in US. This is an achievement
which places us at the first place in the league of premiere Institutes.
17. What sort of a Return on Investment (ROI) can you expect?
One benchmark of calculating the ROI is how fast can you, as a student,
recover the investment for the program. Typically, on an average, a student
should be able to recover the investment in the PG Programs (PGDBM &
MBA & PGP) in a time span of around 18 months post completion of
program. The great students, however, tend to recover the same in a
maximum of 12 months post program completion. Thereafter, the average
growth in salaries is anywhere from 20% to 50% on an annual basis,
depending on performance in the company.
18. If you are a company looking to recruit our students from campus, either for
Final Job Placements or for Internships or wish to make an enquiry about the

19. Technology has made the dream of the global village a hard-core reality today,
with tourism encompassing various purposes – travel, conferencing, study,
sport and pilgrimages. Whatever the reasons for people to travel around, the
fact is that tourism as a global Industry surely is advancing in leaps and
bounds, leading to new employment opportunities opening up in the
Hospitality Industry.
This fast growing tourism Industry has risen to be the single largest revenue
earning Industry all over the world, accounting for almost 12% of the world‟s
economic output and offering nearly 250 million jobs worldwide!
Asia continues to be one of the fastest growing tourism destinations of the
world, with south America and Africa in close pursuit. Europe and the Middle
East too are still growing further and picking up momentum veryfast in recent
years.
During the last few years, the Indian economy too has been undergoing a
definite shift from the manufacturing Industry in fact surpassed the
manufacturing Industry both in revenues and profitability. As a result of this,
the employment opportunities in the manufacturing Industry are diminishing,
whereas the same are growing at a fast pace in the service Industry. In fact it is
estimated that total direct employment in the tourism sector is around 20
million.
20. Students are also encouraged to interact as much as possible with each other.
Each month the students themselves nominate one student per batch to be their
coordinator. The Committee of student coordinators from different classes /
batches thereafter liaises between themselves, the faculty and the companies /
corporates. Meetings between students, their committee and the Institute are
held regularly, with an agenda covering academic matters, general operational
problems or points on social and welfare aspects, which the students in
particular may wish to put forward to the Director and the senior faculty
members. This of course is over and above the one-to-one interaction between
students and the faculty on an on – going basis.
