1. From sideline to spotlight
- Technology & Innovation based on renewable
natural resources of EE countries -

2. Some of EE’s abundant natural resources are:
Wood
Zinc
Salt
3. How to use these resources for reaching a
sustainable competitive advantage
4. Wood
Wood pulp as world's new wonder material which is
cheap, light, strong and conducts electricity. It can
be applied to the next generation of electronic
displays (Pioneer Electronics is applying it), to create
components for computers (IBM is using it), make
ballistic glass (US army), etc.
And nanopaper is tough as iron
5. Zinc
New zinc technology provides energy storage for
electric vehicles and renewable energy sources (wind and
solar), hearing aids, wearable gadgets, blood or organ
monitors and temperature-responsive clothing.
zinc can be safely exposed to water or air.
Zinc as a metal is a less significant risk than
materials like lead or lithium, and thus creates fewer
concerns for applications that are placed on, or even
inside, the body.
6. Salt – for safe,
cost-effective battery with high energy
density.
Salt has excellent potential for large-scale
use, including storing energy from wind turbines
and solar farms for later feeding.

8. EE could gain a competitive advantage by
using renewable & cheap resources and with
improved process technology applying it to the
products development or making a performance
of the existing products more efficient and cost-
effective and by that increasing the
productivity and saving money.
9. Final products:
