The Mashujaa Team in Kenya aims to provide sanitary pads and mentorship to underprivileged girls through sports and games to promote girls' education. Their goals are to distribute sanitary pads to poor girls, reduce school absenteeism among girls due to menstruation, and link girls to educational support and career mentoring. They plan to work with state and non-state partners, conduct awareness campaigns, form sports teams, and provide mentorship on sanitary pad usage to contribute to achieving universal education, gender equality, and poverty reduction goals. Key activities will be monitored through indicators like number of participating girls, girls staying in school, and self-esteem levels raised.

[object Object],[object Object],Risk Considerations Monitoring and Evaluation: In the slum areas, there are some communities which hold the traditional believes that sports are only meant for boys and it’s our intent to address this by bringing in female coaches and past female beneficiaries of other programs which involve girls in sports initiatives. We plan to conduct exchange visits with organizations like moving the goal post and Carolina for Kibera which involve girls in their HIV/AIDs sports initiatives. We shall conduct information sessions on the benefits of the project and partner with relevant government ministries. Monitoring and Evaluation: The Most significant change method will be used to monitor the progress of the project.
