2. SO...WHAT IS THE Q
PROJECT, ANYWAY?
1. A learning hub where young,
innovative change makers with a
passion for development and
learning meet to study and
implement information
technology, entrepreneurial
expertise with the opportunity to
be mentored by one of Nigeria’s
top ICT firms .
2. We use:
Opencourseware (OCW) learning
combined with Quanteq ICT and
professional training resources;
internship to provide participants
with the skills and expertise to;
Develop and be leaders of their
community.
Through this platform, The Q Project
aims to accomplish what the education
system of Nigeria has failed to: produce
professional, self driven and highly
innovative young minds who desire to
develop themselves and their nation on a
continuous and transitory level.
3. SOHOWDOESTHEQPROJECTHELPPARTICIPANTS?
• While OCWs leave the learning to the
discretion of the learner, we encourage
the learning be left to the discretion of the
partners….
• Participants are paired up with a learning
partner, decided upon by their interests
in OCW and other professional and ICT
resources made available by Quanteq.
This ensures that both parties keep track
of each other and grow together. They are
required to send a weekly report of their
progress to the {Project Coordinator)
• The project also gives participants the
expertise and opportunity to confidently
intern with Quanteq or any other
organisation of their choice
• Participants are gauged on the
individual’s passion and drive to learn
and develop not only themselves, but
their society and others around them.
4. Young people have little skills and even less money to afford spending
fortunes to gain skills not acquired in school. With The Q Project youths can
acquire the necessary skills needed to succeed and the mentoring advice
needed to know where to focus our boundless energy towards.
DID WE MENTION THAT IT’S FREE…?

6. One side, a rotting education system in dire need of vision and new
leadership; on the other side, global unemployment in a world where the
highest population consist of youths.
Where ever you look, young
people are affected by these
main problems. What is worse,
is that most education al
institutions in Nigeria do not
teach life or professional skills
effectively or at all in a way that
could benefit their students.
despite the fact most young people
lack important skills to succeed in
the professional world, most desire
occupations they lack the
necessary skills for…
• Computer skills
• Entrepreneurial skills
• Innovation
• Organisational skills
• Lack of initiative
• Leadership skills
• Effective communication
• Communication skills
• Critical thinking
• Problem solving
7. Since the unofficial inauguration of The Q Project
on the 15th of September, 2012, skills gained and
implemented are:
• Web and software development
competencies fostered.
• Responsibility for one’s personal and
professional development initiated.
• Effective communication skills
cultivated.
• Entrepreneurship and project
management skills developed

participants.
• Improved networking skills.

9. The Q Project was Initiated Because…
…of the belief that the young people
of Nigeria needed a chance to
achieve greatness.
The opportunity to gain skills
needed and nurtured by industry
professional for the achievement of
innovation and development at a
professional atmosphere with only
one’s passion and dedication as
currency in exchange, is invaluable,
not just to the young people
involved, but also for the potential
developmental impact and globally
recognised personal and
professional achievements.
