This PowerPoint analyzes the title sequences of three action/thriller films - Taken, The Bourne Identity, and Mission Impossible - to show how each establishes the genre, plot, and intended audience. The analysis finds that Taken uses dull colors, fast music, and brief clips of fighting and crashes to clearly portray its genre to audiences of young adults. It will also examine the title sequences of the other two films.

In this PowerPoint, I will be analyzing three title sequences from three films
which are the same genre as my group. Our chosen genre was action/thriller so
the chosen films I have picked is Taken; Bourne Identity and Mission
Impossible. I will also talk about how the: genre; plot and audience are
established.

3. On the previous slide, was some screen shots that I
took form the ‘Taken’ film. The genre is portrayed
to the audience very clearly that it’s a action/thriller
film due to being dull coloured, fast music and with
little clips of action which involved fighting and cars
crashing. The audience this film is aimed at would
probably be young adults due to younger people
may find this particular film ‘un interesting’ and
older people tend to not be interested in fighting
and action.
