1. Present Time (present) answers the question:
What happens? = What? or What is happening?
= What is happening ?. Formed: Subject +
verb in the present (I work). Subject + am /
are / is + verb in progressive (I am working).
I am going to leave for Asia next month.
Voy a partir a Asia el mes que viene.
We are going to watch a movie on TV tonight.
Vamos a ver una película en la televisión a la
noche.
The company is going to raise its prices next
summer.
La compañía va a subir los precios el próximo
mes.
Mrs. Black is going to teach pottery next year.

PRESENT SIMPLE
 In English, the simple present, also known as the present simple, 1 is the
present tense of (not perfective aspect).
 It is one of several times used for this in English, the other being the present
continuous, which has progressive aspect, the present perfect and present
perfect continuous
examples
 1 I work with my father in the newspaper
 Yo trabajo con mi padre en el periódico
 2 I read the bible every day
 Yo leo la biblia cada día
 3 I watch the tv in the night
 Yo veo la tv en la noche
 4 I see my girlfriend every friday

Pasado simple
 The tenses are different ways of combining the verbal aspect and tense in an
expression. According to the verb tense used, a sentence has a certain time
reference indicating when the action of the verb is developed.
Examples
 1. Did you eat meat? (¿Comiste carne?).
 2. No, I didn’t eat meat. (No, yo no comí carne).
 3. I liked the fruits. (Me gustaron las frutas).
 4. I listened to music. (Yo escuché música).
 5. She ran every morning. (Ella corría cada mañana).
 6. Did you hear that? (¿Escuchaste eso?).
 7. They did it. (Ellos lo hicieron).
 8. He was there. (Él estuvo ahí).
 9. We thought so. (Lo pensamos).
 10. I tried so hard. (Lo intenté muy duro).

Futuro simple
 The Simple Future tense is used to describe actions that will be developed in
the future without the need to clarify at what point will occur. Its equivalent
in the Spanish language is Future Imperfect
Examples
 They will dance all night long.
 (Bailarán toda la noche.)
 Next month he will be ten years old.
 (El mes que viene cumplirá diez años.)
 How old will he be next month?
 (¿Cuántos años cumplirá el mes que viene?)
 It will be very cold in the winter.
 (Hará mucho frío en el invierno.)
 This winter will not be so cold.
 (Este invierno no hará tanto frío.)

Pasado perfecto
 he Past Perfect English language is a tense that is used to refer to an action
that took place at a time before another action, although both have
happened in the past establishing an order including

 2. I had bought things for dinner. (Yo había comprador cosas para la cena).
 3. You had always been there. (Tu siempre habías estado allí).
 4. She had written a note. (Ella había escrito una nota).
 5. I had done my homework. (Yo había hecho mi tarea).

Futuro perfecto
 he Future Perfect tense is used to express situations that are occurring or are
developed in the future and we imagine to be completed when the time
comes to which we refer. This verbal form is often accompanied by a
temporal expression,
Examples
 I´m going to go to Argentina next summer (Viajaré a Argentina el próximo
verano)
 I will open the window (Abriré la ventana > ofrecimiento)
 She´s playing football tomorrow (Mañana jugará al fútbol)
 I will go to the concert if i can (si puedo iré al concierto)
 They are climbing the mountain next week (Escalarán la montaña la próxima
semana)
 You will travel to London if you pass your exam (Irás a Londres si apruebas el
examen)

Simple perfecto
 The Past continuous (also called absolute tense, past tense, simple perfect,
past simple, past all perfect, one last, indefinite and preterite) is an absolute
time of perfective aspect, as the action listed is considered terminated or
global basis. It is characteristic of the Romance languages. In literary texts,
this past presents the specific events that advance the story.
Examples
 I've talked to Peter. (He hablado con Peter.)
 She's gone to work. (Ha ido a su trabajo.)
 We've been to London. (Hemos ido a Londres.)
 They've learned English. (Han aprendido inglés.)

  • 2. Tiempos verbales 1. Present Time (present) answers the question: What happens? = What? or What is happening? = What is happening ?. Formed: Subject + verb in the present (I work).
