My Philosophy
1. My Philosophy My educational philosophy is that students learn differently and have individual needs that must be met. Therefore, it is my responsibility to use multiple teaching strategies and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. I understand that students’ educational experiences are shaped by many different aspects of their lives including their cultural and ethnic backgrounds and their ability levels. I value the differences among students and feel that much can be learned through sharing our differences. I also believe that education is essential for future success and consider it part of my role as an educator to emphasize the value of education to students and their families. I believe there is no skill that is more critical for lifelong learning than seeking and using information effectively, and I believe media specialists play a unique role in teaching this skill.
