I am still in shock from that ending!! Sweet baby Jesus that ending...!!!
I loved everything about the book. Everything. The plot was great, the
characters were stinkin' awesome, and the romance was sexy and steamy.

I fell in love with ALL the characters. Every single last one of one of them. I felt
so many emotions and I couldn't put the book down. I just couldn't. It was that
good.
Go ahead and do yourself a favor and one click the book. You won't regret it.
rying Not To Love You is officially being added to my favorites of 2013. Megan
Smith does an amazing job at captivating you with this story. She makes you
feel a connection with ALL of the characters in this book and not just the main
characters.

3. This is a story of true love, passion, resistance. Trying to fight what your heart is
telling you that you need. This is a story about Mackenzie Cahill and Hunter
McCormick. Kenzie has been in love with Hunter since she was 10 years old but
he's her twin brothers, Mason and Copper, best friend. Hunter tries to stay away
as the years go on. When he goes off to College, Kenzie knows that she needs to
stop hoping for something that will never happen so she starts dating Dominic.
When its time for her to go off to college all is good until tragedy strikes. Hunter
is there to pick her up when she needs it most. They can't fight their attraction
for each other anymore but Hunter doesn't want to ruin his friend with his best
friends either.
This Story is “OH MY FUCKING GADS!” amazing! The emotion is raw and angsty.
It will have you in tears. And it will make you laugh. 5 Stars from me!
Trying Not to Love you is definitely one of my favorite books of 2013, it made
me laugh and absolutely sob my heart out.
This book is captivating from the first sentence, the relationship between Hunter
and Kenzie or CC as he calls her is intense, passionate and sweet.
The characters in the book are so well developed that they feel like friends and
family, I was brought into their family by Megan's amazing writing skills.
Hunter and Kenzie have so much love, angst to work through due to her
brothers refusal to accept them together, it is hard not to feel for them, I just
wanted them to get their happily ever after.
The ending well lets just say that was my 2 hour sob fest and a message to the
author!

Not a whole lot…lol. At ten years old, MacKenzie Cahill sets her sights on a

people do that!). Let me simply say Trying Not To Love You is a wonderful,
romantic ride. Megan Smith has done a fabulous job for her debut novel, and I
know she will have a long line of eager readers waiting for her future releases.
Yes, there is a cliffhanger at the end of Trying Not To Love You, but isn’t that
what everyone secretly loves? You become invested in the characters and you
WANT the story to continue! Grab a copy and prepare to swoon over handsome,
hot, muscled, tatted-up, and protective Hunter (he’d certainly have no trouble
sweeping me off my feet!!).
Before I start I have to say I can not wait for fall 2013! Easy to love you book
#2 is on my must read list!
Hunter and Kenzie, well what a connection.
I love the way it dives into the past and explains the past of these characters.
Kenzie is from a family with three very over protected brothers. There brothers
friend Hunter has almost grown up with these and he looks at them as brothers.
Kenzie has feelings for Hunter but he always pushes her back - because of
Mason, Jackson and Cooper (the big protected brothers). Kenzie moves on with
Dominic.
After a year with Dominic, Kenzie moves to the same college he attends. Things
start to go wrong, Kenzie can sense something is of and who does she turn to?
Hunter.
Finally finding out Dominics secret he and Kenzie split up.
Now single, Kenzie is left fighting her feelings for Hunter as they remained very
close friends.
Hunter is resilient to Kenzie because of the brothers, who he also classes as his
brothers. Finally after giving into there feelings for each other, they get
together. Of course it's not easy. Mason takes it extremely hard.
Finally getting everything on track...... Something terrible from her past (more
Dominics past) comes and turns everyones world upside down! What happens
next?.......... We don't know the book ends. *sigh* roll on Fall 2013.

5. Ok let's see this book is really sweet. Hunter is really amazing just wish he
would have grown a pair sooner. So Kenzie didn't have to be with the prick of
the year.
Let's being with the bad people lol I usually do and I have to keep PC or amazon

Dominic: I really dont like you even in the end. You jerks never realize what you
have until its to late. Kenzie deserved way better than you. Your are getting
what you deserve having to deal with a crazy b**ch like Brittnay I will commend
you a little just a little for apologizing and warning her to stay away from
Brittnay.
Brittnay :you are all kinds of fu**ing crazy what the hell Is wrong with crazy
females in these books geeze take a Xanax or something . What you did is just
unforgivable.
Oh yea Dominic I completely blame you for what has happened to Kenzie.
Hunter: where do I begin your are a sweet guy but should have manned up a
long time ago especially after you knew how she felt about you. Your loyalties
are to follow your heart. Not to her brothers. You came around when she needed
you most. You messed up once and almost lost her don't do it again. You guys
are amazing together she deserves the world and I think you are the man for
the job. I hope and pray all works out in next book I need a HEA .
Kenzie: your the typical down home good girl. You deserve the world. Sucks you
had have your heart broken by at least you found your forever thru all the mess.
I was extremely scared reading that accident scene :( and that crazy chick
following you and hurting you. I will be on edge till next book I really need a
HEA.
As for the rest of the characters. Jackson,Cooper an Mason you are the best big
brothers anyone could ever have. Kenzie is very luck to have you. I love you all
and your love for your family is amazing. Hailey honey get it together I'm
looking forward to yours and Mason's story to continue in the next book.

eyes on 13 year old Hunter. Just looking at those blue eyes set the butterflies in
her stomach to go off, and that’s when she knew; she was in for it.

anything to Hunter, but it meant the world to me.' ~ Kenzie
Kenzie had always grown up with three VERY over protective brothers. With
Hunter being Mason and Cooper’s best friend (Kenzie’s older twin brothers) she
now has an extra protector watching out for her. However unlike her brothers
who were overbearing pricks most of the time, Hunter was always more
attentive to her feelings and always made sure she was okay first before he took
on any form of action. She knew she felt a connection to him from the
beginning. His constant flirting with her did not make matters with her to be any
easier. She wanted to be with him, but he was the one she could not have. He
never showed any interest in her, or so she thought.
“You don’t need that shit. You’re beautiful just the way you are.” ~ Hunter
She thought he was good looking growing up, but seeing him home during
summer break from college, he was sexier than ever. He was taller, his muscles
were bigger, his hair was longer, and damn those tattoos. She wanted him, and
she wanted him bad, more now than she had ever had. Hunter wanted her just
as bad, but he just couldn’t do it, he chose her brothers over her and that damn
well broke her heart.
She knew she couldn’t be with Hunter, so she moved on by dating Dominic. She
knew in time she would become happy. Her brothers or Hunter were not happy
with the idea, but Dominic wouldn’t let them get in the way of their relationship
and she admired him for standing up to them. Hunter would always find a way

7. to touch Kenzie, flirt with her, or whisper things in her ear when no one was
aware. That confused that crap out of her. Did Hunter want Kenzie? Was this all
just a game to him?
I absolutely loved the family dynamic and support that the Cahill family gave to
one another. Aside from Hunter they also welcomed into their family with open
arms, her best friend Hailey, Jaylinn (Hunter’s sister), Hunter’s mom, and Chloe
who is Jackson’s fiancé (Kenzie’s oldest brother). The boys are very protective
over the girls and I don’t mean just Kenzie, I mean all three of them. You mess
with any of them, you will have not one but all four of those guys on your ass!
But without a doubt you can sense the absolute love pouring out from one
another. No matter what happened, that family stuck together.
Let me just say, the car ride to school with Kenzie, Hailey and Hunter playing
Hot Seat was hysterical; I could not stop laughing! I would absolutely love a
friend like Hailey around in my daily life. She has no type of filter whatsoever
and will tell you like it is; she keeps it completely real with you. There is no
sugar coating anything when she is around. That’s one of the things I loved
about her. I think that balanced out her relationship with Kenzie perfectly.
Kenzie's relationship with Dominic started to change and Kenzie was becoming
naïve and oblivious to what was happening infront of her. Instead, she made a
bunch of excuses and tried to fix it. Every one saw it but her, and they were
trying their best to protect her from getting hurt. To make matters worse,
Hunter was continuing to torment her with his crazy flirting, still confusing the
crap out of her. Dominic came off as a complete dick and I hated the idea of him
from the very beginning. But like all secrets, they will surface and the truth will
finally reveal itself. She finally sees Dominic for who he truly is. And like always,
her family is there to help her pick up the pieces of her broken heart. Hunter
chooses to not leave her side.
“I’m done trying to stay away. I can’t do it anymore. I need you like my life
depends on it.” ~ Hunter
Broken and feeling betrayed, Kenzie tries to focus on putting her life back
together and get back on track. Hunter finally admits to everyone about his
feelings for Kenzie and although they are not happy with it, he stands by her.
Confused and lost, insecurities from the past have Kenzie wondering how long it

8. will be till Hunter leaves her too. He has always chosen her brothers and never
her, so why should this time be any different?
Will Hunter be able to stand up to her brothers and choose Kenzie? Will Kenzie
be able to put the past aside and let Hunter in? Will the Cahill brothers ease up
and let Kenzie live her life? Will her family be just as supportive knowing she
wants to be with Hunter? Will Kenzie and Hunter stop playing these games and
finally see that they belong together?
It got really frustrating at times to read the push and pull relationship of Kenzie
of Hunter. I really just wanted them to get it over with and just be together. Her
brothers needed to get a grip and ease up on being so overbearing. Hunter was
their best friend, so of course he would treat Kenzie with such respect. Kenzie
was supportive with the big clusterfuck of relationships happening around her,
all she wanted was that same support back. Getting towards the end of the
book, Hunter really, really grew on me; the way that he took care of Kenzie and
always put her first. I could never get tired of him. Not only did I fall for Hunter,
but I fell in love with the entire family. I could however, do without that major
cliffhanger at the end of the book! I can’t wait to hear more of the story; I need
to see what happens. Great job Megan!
