1. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LOVE JESUS? Great Commission Ministries JESUS CHRIST I AM THAT I AM

2. Love Jesus above All! Mat 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Mat 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. Mat 10:39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Mat 10:40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

3. FOR MY SAKE! Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

4. According to Jn. 14:23-24 John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. John 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

5. Jn. 14:15-18 "If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." WE ARE NOT COMFORTLESS BECAUSE HE IS THE COMFORTER!

6. The Holy Spirit hadn't "been given" at this point. This is before the Day of Pentecost. Jesus said the Spirit of truth dwellethWITH you, and shall be in you." He was the One who dwelt among men.

7. Today, we hear in many denominations who teach 3 persons of God say receive Christ in your heart. Then they say the Holy Spirit dwells in you. And according to Eph. 4:6 " one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." According to the trinitarian, you have 3 persons in you. But According to the Word, there is 1 in you. Isaiah 9:6 "the son(Jesus) is called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Those names are not referring to 3 or more different persons but only 1. WHEN WE KEEP HIS WORD, WE SHOW WE LOVE HIM!!

8. The Lord says in Jn. 15:13 "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his lifefor his friends." Remember, God is a Spirit according to Jn. 4:24. There is only 1 God, the Father according to 1Cor. 8:6. God became flesh according to 2Tim. 3:16 & Matt. 1:23. Jesus was a man. 1Cor. 15:21 "For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.“ Verse 47 "The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven."

9. Common Bible interpretation… Jn. 3:16 says "God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son.." To understand this with the intellect, it would appear to agree with the 3 persons of God teaching. The problem is if the Son who is not the Father laid down his life then it disagrees with the scriptures that were just referred to in this paragraph. Eg. What kind of love would I be displaying if I was walking with my son and we saw someone in the middle of the street who was about to get hit by a car, and I told him to run out there and push the person out of the way of the car? My son ends up getting hit and dies.

10. I was totally capable of running out into the street to push the person myself. THAT ISN'T LOVE!! THAT IS SELFISHNESS!! How do those who believe in the 3 persons of God see that as love? An act of love on my part would have been if I would have gone out in the street to push the person out of harms way, it isn't love to send someone else to do something you are can do yourself! That is an act of a COWARD!

11. 1Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

12. Acts 7:51 "Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye." Who were their "fathers" resisting? 1Cor. 10:1-5 "Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant how that all our fatherswere under the cloud, and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; and did all eat the same spiritual meat; and did all drink the same spiritual drink; for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Verse 9 "Neither let us tempt Christ as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents." How do these verses agree with the teaching of the trinity? Are there 3 persons of God or 1 person?

13. Jn.20:17 "Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God." Verse 28 "And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God." If Jesus is God and not the Father, is there another God? He says the Father is his God. Yet when Thomas calls Jesus my Lord and my God, Jesus didn't correct him and say, No Thomas, my Father is your God. Why? Because the Son is the Father in the flesh. He was in his earthly body(flesh).

14. The flesh profiteth nothing. His heavenly "body" is Spirit. The Spirit giveth life. It goes back to the basics of understanding the Word of God's definition of God. 1Cor. 8:4 says "..there is none other God but one." Verse 6 "but to us there is but one God, the Father.." The scriptures declare this Truth, yet most men resist it and refuse to comprehend it. It doesn't agree with what their logic tells them. 1Cor. 1:25 "Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men;..“ 2Cor. 11:3 "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ."

15. Gen. 2:7 "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathedinto his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Jn. 20:22 "And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost." He breathed "physical" life into Adam. He breathed "spiritual" life into His disciples. Notice, this was before His ascension that the disciples received the Holy Ghost. How could that be? Because HE IS THE SPIRIT!

16. According to Jn. 16:13 "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth.." the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth. Jn. 14:6 " Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life.." He is the truth. Who better to guide us into all truth than He who is the truth. Many contradictions and mysteries when understood as 3 persons. Truth becomes clear when God is understood as 1!
