Theory of Knowledge (TOK) challenges students to critically reflect on different ways of knowing and areas of knowledge. TOK is composed of questions that encourage thoughtful inquiry, such as how we know assertions are true. Students who would do well in TOK are willing to thoughtfully inquire into different kinds of knowledge, become aware of themselves as thinkers, and question their own perceptions while remaining open-minded. The course requirements for TOK include analyzing knowledge claims, comparing approaches to knowledge issues, and accurately communicating ideas with academic honesty.
