◦ For example, women around the world are forced into the slave trade as
prostitutes against their will. At this time, women are not able to be seen as
sacred.
3. Modern Day Form of Slavery
Human trafficking is the illegal trade of human beings for
the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation or forced
labor; a modern-day form of slavery. All women,
including children, are forced into prostitution as early as
the age of 10.

young girl travels to Paris with a
friend, and the two girls are
forced into prostitution.
Although the movie is based on
a “true story”, the events that
take place in the film are really
happening to women around
the world.

care, education and employment. All people have a right to
participate in decisions that affect their lives.
For example, many women, young and old, are forced into
marriages-- which is a decision that affects their life.

Middle East.
◦ Human rights experts tell of fathers threatening to murder daughters who
wouldn't agree to a union, and parents claiming they'd commit suicide if a
girl didn't give in.

People have a right to decent and productive work, fair
wages, private property and economic initiative.
For example, even though a law has been promoted to
protect Chinese women’s rights, Chinese women are still
discriminated. It's hard for women to get jobs even if they
have degrees. Most good jobs are open only to men. Women
aren't offered many nice jobs that pay fair.
