2. What are opponent sports?
They are unique duels where there is only adversary and where the medium does
not create uncertainty.
There are two groups:
 Sports adversary where the target is a field area: racquet sports and
others similar.
 Sports adversary where target is the body of adversary: combat sports.
Which are the characteristics of the
opponent sports?
• The competitive nature focus on overcoming an opponent.
• It is assessed and highlights the individual level.
• The effectiveness in its realization depends on basic aptitude,
technical mastery and physical qualities.
• Athletes drive by using misleading codes in order to confuse
or distract the opponent.
• In many of them are used sports equipment (racquets, etc.) and special
protections.
Classification
We can distinguish two groups:
1. Sports white material: jai alai, tennis, badminton, etc.
2. Human target sports judo, boxing, karate, fencing, Canarian wrestling, etc.
