The Facial Wash Dilemma...
Soap and water...the simple solution to washing off dirt.
If it’s good for the body, why not the face? Because it
can do more harm than good in the long run...
THE QUEST FOR SQUEAKY CLEAN
In the quest for the “squeaky clean” sensation, we tend
to over-wash, over-scrub, and over dry our faces.
Because the facial skin has fewer layers than the skin in
most other areas, it is more susceptible to damage by
harsh products.
The fallacy of the “squeaky clean”

cleansing the face removes debris build-up, sweat, oil
secretion, and make-up residue.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT CLEANSER
The market is filled with an abundance of cleansers,
making it a challenge to find the one that best suits your
skin. In general, a cleanser is a cleanser by the mere
ability of the product to clean the skin. However, some
cleansers are better than others
depending on skin type and
condition.
GEL-BASED CLEANSERS tend to
be more suitable for oily or acneprone, combination skin
because they are free of
oil or emollients, as they
remove daily residue and
leave the skin feeling fresh.
CREAM-BASED CLEANSERS help restore
moisture in the epidermis for dry skin types
as they cleanse. Sensitive skin may also
prefer their soothing sensation.
