Both Michael and Rob create images with a low quality look to them, through turn them into
art, which is what I would like to create also.
Michael uses zoom to create visible pixels in the image. Examples of images that have
inspired me are of facial expressions, high rise dense architecture and lost laundry. He
doesn’t often photograph things with bright colours in his art, and uses natural lighting so
photographs look quite dull. In my own work I would like to photograph similar content, use
zoom to add pixels to some of my images and also use natural lighting like he does.
Rob uses technology to create the look of a low quality or broken image. Though I will be
using different technology to Rob, I would like to create something with a similar effect by
corrupting the code of my image on TextEdit. In his work the colours are either very bright or
very dark. I would perhaps like to take photos using more dull colours, though I cannot
control the outcome of the image if I decide to corrupt the code if my image.
