Newsletters or ezines are a “must have” f or every internet marketer and entrepreneur. Why? T here are a f ew
reasons. Having a newsletter is a great way to build your subscriber list and potentially sell your products and
services to your list in the f uture. Starting a newsletter isn’t a dif f icult task, but there are some bases that
need to be covered. You can gain a huge amount of subscribers to your list in just a f ew simple steps.
Starting Your Online Newsletter
If you are new to email marketing and are not f amiliar with autoresponder services, then you’ll need to f ind one
and sign up.
T here are several companies out there such as MailChimp, Get Response, Constant Contact, and the one I
use which is very popular, called Aweber. Aweber is probably the most trusted email marketing systems of
online marketers because it’s versatile, super simple to set up, and makes it easy f or you to manage your lists,
ezines, ecourses, etc. You also get 24/7 support, campaign customization, scheduling, accurate tracking, and
much more. Everything is set up so you can get your very own subscription f orm script to place on your site f or
people to type in their names and email addresses. Whatever autoresponder you choose, make sure you get
the most benef it f rom it.
T IP: Bef ore you place that subscribe box on your site, make sure that you create a really nice set of messages
that you will automatically send out.
Take some time and create around 10 or 20 dif f erent email messages that you’d like to send out over a period
of a f ew weeks. You want to keep the relationship going with your list, so make sure your emails aren’t too
spaced out. Some people like to send out emails every day but personally, I think it’s annoying. I usually
unsubscribe f rom lists where I receive emails every day, or I just don’t open them. But overall, this makes it
easier to generate your income on autopilot.
Here’s how newsletters can work:
Blog daily and tell others about your blog post.
Have a “call to action” at the end of each blog post.
Talk to your list; Encourage, inspire, etc.
Create some nice af f iliate of f ers and send them out once a week. (You don’t want to get carried away
by pitching stuf f to your list all the time).
Make sales.
Your newsletters or ezines should contain helpf ul inf o, tips, strategies, education, etc. It’s always good to
send out a newsletter at least once a month.
You don’t need to get f ancy or anything like that. Keep in mind that people want the inf ormation you have to
of f er. T hat is why they subscribed to your list in the f irst place. Newsletters do not have to be long, just
inf ormative. No matter what, just stick with it because consistency will make you better.
