Screenplay
1. SCREENPLAY
FADE IN:
EXT. LOCATION #DRIVEWAY – DAY
The group of friends are getting ready at someone‟s house in order to set off on a camping trip. The
group of friends will all be putting luggage in the boot of the car, including a tent and other baggage.
The friends will all seem happy and excited to go away on their first trip together as a group of friends
without any parents.
FADE IN:
EXT. LOCATION #HOUSING ESTATE – DAY
All baggage will be put into the car which means the group of friends are ready to set off on their trip.
The car will drive out from the house and down the road to show the beginning of the adventure.
EXT.LOCATION #FIELD – DAY
The teenagers decide to play some team games and have some fun rather than setting up the camp
straight away. This will obviously be a bad choice as the darkness is becoming closer and closer.
When the dark weather comes, pathetic fallacy will occur as all things will turn bad.
EXT.LOCATION #FIELD- NIGHT
The teenagers begin to set up camp and unload the car. The darkness is hanging over them whilst they
are unpacking and setting up the tent.
EXT. LOCATION #FIELD- NIGHT
The group of friends are sitting around in a circle talking to one another, smoking, drinking and eating
and therefore having fun and laughing as the darkness comes. In the middle of the circle there will be
2. a lantern in order to give out some light in order for the characters to see one another and so the scene
can be lit.
EXT.LOCATION #FIELD- NIGHT
One of the characters will see a dark figure in the background just lurking there which makes this
character become very scared. Everyone else doesn‟t see this and are having fun.
CHARACTER CHELSEA:
“Oh my! I think I‟ve just seen something!”
CHARACTER ASHLEY:
“Don‟t be so silly, we‟re fine here”
EXT. LOCATION- #FIELD/WOODS - NIGHT
The figure of the girl in the background is becoming closer and closer; we see this through the scared
character‟s eyes. Eerie noises are heard by all of the characters and they all begin to get scared and
want to leave.
CHARACTER CHELSEA:
[SCREAMING]: “She‟s coming closer and closer”
CHARACTER HARRY:
“Right okay now boys, I‟m beginning to get scared now. Let‟s go”
INT. LOCATION - #HOUSE
There are flashbacks of the young girl‟s past. This will show her in a corner as an isolated and
neglected child. We see her Mother dying through the eyes of the young girl as a man is holding a
knife over her Mother. Also we will then see the young girl upset and distraught due to the death of
her Mother, which proves why she is a little weird and „screwed-up‟.
3. EXT. LOCATION – #FIELD
The friends begin to pack up camp in a rush; trying to get everything together. They hear more noises
as they are packing up and are therefore extremely scared because of this. As they are packing up,
they will not know that the antagonist is getting closer and closer to them. The characters will be
running, there will be trips and obstacles along the way.
ALL CHARACTERS:
“Screaming/shouting”
EXT. LOCATION- #ROADSIDE
After the teenagers have ran from the field/camp to the car they chuck in all of their stuff and are
ready to set off and leave the spooky place. However, an easy get away will not happen in a horror
film. So, the car does not start and the friends are screaming with fear.
EXT. LOCATION- #CAR
As the car will not start the antagonist is coming closer and closer. This results to the antagonist
standing in front of the car with the headlights shining on her. The camera will focus on one specific
person and when they blink the antagonist will disappear with a flashacting as a blink.
FADE OUT TO WHITE
EXT.LOCATION – #ROADSIDE/FIELD
There will be flashes of the teenagers running and screaming with fear. There will also be flashes of
some of the characters lying on the floor, looking as though they have been beaten. The scene will end
with all of the characters tied up with rope which leaves a sense of mystery to the end of the trailer as
we don‟t know how exactly they got like that etc.
