Bail Bond Houston
So, over the summer I got a speeding ticket. I decided to take a defensive driving course, so got
permission from the court, and I sent in all my materials. I wasn't sure about my affidavit (I had
moved to Tulsa from Houston for college, and I left my original paperwork in Houston when I did
my course online) so I talked to my counselor and she advised me to print out one from an
online source and send that one in, so I did. A few months passed and I received a letter in the
mail from a bail bond company saying I have a warrant out for my arrest, to my surprise. I
haven't done anything wrong except the course, so I'm assuming I sent in the incorrect affidavit.
Am I completely screwed? I mean I took the class and sent in my driving record and an affidavit
(although it was for the city of Houston and not Montgomery County itself) stating I would
complete the class (which I did) even though it was for a different county. Is that small misstep
going to get me arrested? Should I go in to the courthouse and sort things out or call them or
get a lawyer? Slightly freaking out here so any advice would be helpful. Today I found out that…
