1. Bail Bonds Sign
I went to bail bonds place and they said they would pay
the bail and I had to sign all the papers and I'm paying the weekly amount. My question is, since
my cousin wasn't released, do I still have to continue paying the bail bond company. Well, I
have your answer right here. On the face, this sounds very unusual and one would have to
wonder if there were other circumstances that haven't been presented here. I can tell you as a
California bail bondsman, the bondsman fully earns the bail bond fees when the defendant has
been released from jail — even if the defendant gets re-arrested or is found guilty. If we don't
post a bond and the defendant is not released, the client doesn't pay.
