1. San Diego California Bail Bonds
How long is the deadline usually in san diego county
until the bond can not be reinstated? And what is likely to happen legaly and financially to the
defendant if he/she misses court because was out of state (resident of another state and was in
california for work when charged) and due to financial reasons at the time of court date couldn't
make court? Can he/she turn himself/herself in at a local police station(not in california) stating
he/she is scheduled for court in another state but can't make it? Maybe that would help out
somewhat. Just looking for some advice before I start asking my stepdad for travel money to
make court. I know it doesn't look good that I not show up to court. I think I found an answer.
The bail is to secure your appearance in court in CA. If you don't go, the bond gets forfeited and
you get a warrant for your arrest. Turning yourself in out of state will do nothing unless CA is
willing to come get you for whatever the offense is. You need to call the court and talk to them.
The odds are high that you will not get that bond back.
