Learning objectives :   By the end of the lesson, students will  be able to complete a song and to use Simple Present Tense to  speak about volunteer activities for environment conservation in the future. WARM UP
Guessing a song !
A C B The class will choose the song from the letter A,B,C. Then  listen to  a piece of the song, guess  its name. Anyone  who  has  the  answer  will  raise  the  hand. UNIT 6: THE YOUNG PIONEERS CLUB Language Focus 1
Children of the world not only unite to sing  for  peace  but  also  join  in  a  lot  of  activities. Now the class  play  a game to get to know about  community activities caring for our  environment. How  to  play The class is devided into 6 groups, each group gets a poster with symbols, then show out the meanings of them.
 
Greenpeace is a non-governmental environmental  organization with offices in over 40 countries   Greenpeace organization symbol Stop global warming activities  Stop deforestation activities   Clean water project   KEY
Let’s read about the girl in the photo
She  is  Krishna,12 - year - old girl  from Philippines, joined in the Greenpeace  activity – the  World  Water  Day, held  in  Majayjay,Philippines last March,2010  for  Clean Water Project.  Majayjay ,one of the province of  Laguna, Philippines  where  there is a fall for celebating the  World Water Day,one of the  Greenpeace  activities.
With her friends,Krishna is collecting  waste and cleaning the surroundings. Their  action of  protecting the nature  reminds the community members on  their  role  in  protecting  their  water  because it is theirs. Krishna is standing near Majayjay falls  to join in  the World Water Day celebration .
