This is a presentation on the life of Nelson Mandella, the changes in South Africa.

5. Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born in a village in the Transkei on the 18 July 1918.

7. Mandela's father had four wives, and thirteen children. Mandela was born to his third wife.

8. Rolihlahla Mandela . He was given the name Nelson when he went to school.

9. As a child, Mandela came into contact with racial injustice.

10. Like all men of the Xhosa nation, the start of his adult life was marked by the ritual of circumcision. (13 – 16 years)

11. He became involved in politics when he studied at South Africa's first university for black students.

28. In 1988 a stamp was made in Russia in honour of Nelson Mandela has received more than 50 International honorary degrees from Universities. Nelson Mandela Statue in London Parliament Square He has been awarded with honorary citizenship to many cities in the world. Even streets and parks have been named after him worldwide.

29. FW De Klerk ( the last white President of South Africa) started talks with Mandela and the ANC, leading to the release of Nelson in 1990 after 27 years in prison.

31. On his release on Sunday the 11 th February 1990, Mandela and the ANC agreed to stop the armed struggle.
