6. Mentors To put it in clearer terms, us mentors are here to in some way better you guys and gals. So ask us questions about: What colleges to apply to and how to tailor that application What classes to take Junior and Senior year What steps to take before applying to college Etc.
7. Sure you can ask us about classes, college or tests, but remember that we’re here for anything! Relationships – Cupid’s arrows have struck your mentors once or twice. We’ve been around the bend before so let your questions fly. Life – We may not know the answer (it’s not 42), but that doesn’t mean we can’t help you look! Friends and Family – Troubles with friends or the old folks? Let’s talk about it. Careers – It’s part of our job to help you search for yours. What’s up? But wait…there’s more!
8. Mentors will make and send out bi-weekly modules ranging from topics like: How to improve at public speaking How to find research opportunities Resume Building Preparing for the AP and SAT tests And more! Modules
9. Mentees will be asked to fill out mid-program evaluations of the program as a whole and of their mentors. We will use this information to improve CompassPoint to better serve YOUR needs. We also expect all mentees to take complete advantage of all the resources CP can offer. Mentees
10. Through CompassPoint, we hope that mentees can develop a set of skills applicable in your life. CompassPointalso seeks to help mentees expand their experiences and knowledge base. Through guidance and exposure to new opportunities, we hope mentees can take away as much from CompassPointas we have to give. Mastery
