My Understanding
     0 From my understanding :

I believe that Realism is defined
as an individual, an animal, and in
some cases an object that speaks
itself to you from deep within your
place of peace. How can one truly be
real if they fail to understand and be
truthful with themselves. Realism
begins when that individual
acknowledges that they must first be
real to oneself. Take this painting to
the right for example: This individual
looks into a mirror and she realizes
that until she can be truthful with
herself then she can never consider
what it truly means to be real.
Quote # 2
Realism sets itself at work to consider characters and events which are
apparently the most ordinary and uninteresting, in order to extract from these
their full value and true meaning. It would apprehend in all particulars the
connection between the familiar and the extraordinary, and the seen and unseen
of human nature. Beneath the deceptive cloak of outwardly uneventful days, it
detects and endeavors to trace the outlines of the spirits that are hidden there;
tho measure the changes in their growth, to watch the symptoms of moral
decay or regeneration, to fathom their histories of passionate or intellectual
problems. In short, realism reveals. Where we thought nothing worth of
notice, it shows everything to be rife with significance (313).

Lathrop, George Parsons. “The Novel and its Future." Atlantic Monthly 34
(September 1874):313-24.
Relationship, Love, and Anger
This particular image is of an
individual who is not only well
known for her anger but she also
shows how real she is with her love
that she has shown to others and her
               relationship choices that she has
made. The passion that she possess
is so deep and passionate. Her
demonstration of realism is that she
can easily express herself and she has
               no problem in being expressive.
Realism is not fake it is being true to
oneself and being true to others.
Show them that the best decision that
they can make is being real.

TRUSTWORTHINESS
Conclusion
The purpose of this power point presentation is to get the
students to understand that there is no right or wrong answer to what
you may think Realism is. Realism was defined by one writer as the
truthfulness of material. The other writer defines it as being able to
unidentified what it truly means to be real or exemplify realism. The
presentation is a way to get the students to understand that realism is
exemplified through all aspects of life. Whether or not one chooses to
be real determines just how their realism will show. The challenge is
to get feed back as to what is thought when looking at the pictures that
are present within this presentation. Can one define Realism from
their own perspective by looking at the presentation or does it confuse
one because the realism aspect is widely defined? Who knows what it
means to truly be real? Who can determine whether it is real or not?
What does it truly mean when one throws a term out there such as
realism?
