2. THE OPERATING SYSTEMS
Justification:
I chose this topic because is very important in different areas of the systems
engineering, also because the operating systems have many topics of interest.
The operating systems are important for me because I like to using the computer in an
easy and dynamic way.
Objectives:
General: To explain what is an operating systems in a clear English to students of
others carriers and partners of engineering.
Especific:
With this draft I expect to express better public.
To explain to the students of English four the main function of an operative
system.
4. On the previous occasion I talked about the definition, history and examples of the
operating systems, this day I am going to finish explaining the components and the
Classification of the operating systems.
5. Components
Main memory:
Main memory or also called central memory is responsible for storing the
instruction code and data of the program that are currently running.
There two types of main memory:
ROM (Read Only Memory)
RAM (Random Access Memory)
6. Classification
Task administration
Mono Task: Run a process at a given time. Once it starts to run a process,
will continue to completion or interruption.
Multitasking: It is run multiple processes simultaneously. This type of
Operating system. Usually assigns the available resources (CPU, memory,
peripherals) of alternately to processes that request.
User administration
Single User: This permits that an user handle programs simultaneously.
Multiuser: this permits multiple users to run programs simultaneously and
use a security system for that each user can protect his account
3. Format:
In the project I will use resources as power point with this I will demonstrate in
pictures what an operative system is.
