The undersigned herewith submits in the above-identified patent the prior art available

Hereinafter, the aforementioned prior art will be referred to as “the Prior Art.” The undersigned
attaches paper copies of the Prior Art to this submission. The Prior Art is pertinent and applicable
to the patent and is believed to have a bearing on the patentability of at least Claims 1-9. The
information in the Prior Art was published in the period 6th
of August – 17th
of November 2010.
The Prior Art discloses an apparatus for creating and using digital currency that is strikingly
similar to the apparatus of Feigelson stated in Claim 1 in having a physical device that carries
value and can be physically delivered in a transaction comprising: (1) a representation of value
carried by a physical device which representation can be used to transfer the value from the
physical device to a digital domain; (2) a security feature that can change from a state indicating
that the value carried by the physical device has not been compromised to a state indicating that
the value carried by the physical device may have been compromised; (3) the change in the state
of the security system is detectable; (4) the representation of the value carried by the physical
device is inaccessible except in a manner that causes the security feature to change state.
The apparatus of Feigelson stated in Claim 2 is strikingly similar to the apparatus for creating and
using digital currency described in the Prior Art in having a physical device that comprises a
portable device.

The apparatus of Feigelson stated in Claim 3 is strikingly similar to the apparatus for creating and
using digital currency described in the Prior Art in having the representation of the value which is
expressed in a human readable form.
The apparatus of Feigelson stated in Claim 4 is strikingly similar to the apparatus for creating and
using digital currency described in the Prior Art in having the representation of the value which is
expressed in a human readable form comprising of printed characters.
The apparatus of Feigelson stated in Claim 5 is strikingly similar to the apparatus for creating and
using digital currency described in the Prior Art in having in the representation of the value
which is expressed in a machine readable form.
The apparatus of Feigelson stated in Claim 6 is strikingly similar to the apparatus for creating and
using digital currency described in the Prior Art in having the representation of the value which is
expressed in a machine readable form comprising a one-dimensional or two-dimensional bar or
mark code.
The apparatus of Feigelson stated in Claim 7 is strikingly similar to the apparatus for creating and
using digital currency described in the Prior Art in having the code comprising a QR.
The apparatus of Feigelson stated in Claim 8 is strikingly similar to the apparatus for creating and
using digital currency described in the Prior Art in having the representation of the value
comprising a secret.
The apparatus of Feigelson stated in Claim 9 is strikingly similar to the apparatus for creating and
using digital currency described in the Prior Art in having the representation of the value
comprising a private key of a public key and private key pair.
Insofar as Claims 1-9 are concerned, the Prior Art clearly anticipates the claimed subject matter
under 35 U.S.C. 102.
