12. Human TransitionsWho are we? Curt MacRae -- has 30 years of business experience, the last 25 in Michigan, managing teams in sales/marketing, customer support, and administration. His IBM management training prepared him to run his own business for 15 years, where he continued to screen, interview, hire, fire, and manage departments and people. He has conducted his own job-searches in 1990 and in 2008, and empathizes with the challenges involved, while understanding the strategy changes required in today’s economy. In 2009, he began conducting GET TO WORKshops for people who are unemployed, under-employed, or who are looking to change careers. Curt has been a speaker at multiple jobs groups and he collaborates with authors who write about job-searching. He has numerous articles published on job-searching, as well as other topics, and writes his own blog, which has 4,000 -10,000 readers per month. His broad base of contacts provides access to many job opportunities. G has worked for - and with - small and large companies including Cintas; 7-Eleven; CVS; Sara Lee, and has partnered with hundreds of employees and applicants at multiple organizational levels. G’s areas of interest and specialty are training, recruitment, and employee relations. She has spoken on various topics to college students throughout the U.S. and has personally spent time conducting her own job searches, gaining an empathy for those going through their own “transition.” G has a passion for personal growth, exhibited by her commitment to fitness, reading and writing (including the rise, fall – and rise! – of her blog, “G’s Good Chi!”). His expertise includes managing major corporate initiatives including selection, retention, team building, sales growth and organizational performance. During his career Pete has provided training and development services for a wide variety of businesses and industries including educational, sales organizations, automotive, medical, manufacturing, transportation and industrial distribution. He has written and delivered multiple training programs nationwide and trained thousands of executives, managers and employees throughout his career. He also is an adjunct instructor at Wayne State University in the business development division. He has trained employees in sales and support. In his current position, Phil designs financing solutions, equipment purchases, building expansion financing, and marketing programs. Phil participates on the zoning board of appeals and planning commission for Antwerp Township, MI, and works with businesses to increase sales and train salespeople. He has sales experience back to 1980. selling tangible and non tangible products and services to a large customer-base, throughout Michigan and Northern Indiana. His customer set includes small businesses, Fortune/500 companies and municipalities. Phil understands what business owners are looking for in employees and in vendor and supplier relationships.
