Exceed Resources training team celebrates a SUPERSTAR year. The team completed a 10-month training program at the Stemmons Workforce Center in Dallas, TX.

3. Gold Glove Award
This award is given to the player
who exhibited superior fielding
performance at each fielding
position. Sandra Wheeler taught
both the Resume Workshop and
Successful Interviewing. She
received excellent feedback on
both classes. Her average
seminar and trainer rating was
3.9/4.0. And, participants rated the
materials the strongest in her
classes (3.72), which has more to
do with her influence as a trainer
than the design of the materials.

4. Delivery Man of the
Year
This award recognizes the most
outstanding relief pitcher of the
season as voted on by the fans.
Michael Herron joined the team in
August. He was the consummate
professional – in the classroom
and in completing administrative
tasks. He read the email and
confirmation sheet instructions
and followed them exactly. After
each seminar, Michael mailed in
the invoice and paperwork. He is a
true business person. Although
Michael only taught five classes,
he had the highest seminar and
trainer ratings, 3.92 and 3.94
respectively. The fans loved him!

5. Rookie of the Year
The definition of rookie status is
based on Major League
experience. Deborah Green has
spent her career in education,
some 22 years. She is new to the
training arena, but as she
reminded me the learners are the
same. Deborah made a smooth
transition to training and super
contribution to the team. With a
trainer rating of 3.83, participants
appreciated her patience and
detail, and they said she was
“confident, knowledgeable, and
motivating.” All of her participants
(100%) reported that the seminar
was beneficial and the information
would help them plan their next
steps. Deborah saw her role as
learning facilitator as a ministry.

6. Silver Slugger
Award
This award is awarded to the best
offensive player at each position,
including batting average,
slugging percentage, and on-base
percentage. Nita McKeethen
always gave extra.
She was always looking for more
ways to help the participants –
she shared websites, took
additional handouts, and helped
them make connections. Across
the board, her seminar, trainer,
and material ratings were
consistently high. Nita made a
positive impression on the
participants. They said she was

7. Hank Aaron Award
This award is given to the best
overall offensive performer. Dena
Crecy made it her mission to give
participants hope. She inspired
them with her own life story. Over
10 months and 16 sessions, Dena
touched the lives of 200 job
seekers. She had the highest
average class size, and the
highest percentage of evaluations
returned. Of the 200 participants
she trained, 192 returned their
evaluation forms. They told us
loud and clear that Dena was
“professional, informative,
passionate, and encouraging.” In
addition, Dena received
consistently high ratings across all
measures. She went above and
beyond, even bringing the donuts.

8. Historic
Achievement Award
This award is given to the player
who made a major impact on the
sport of baseball. Denise Caldwell
was a major contributor to the
TWC training contract. She kicked
off the first class while I was out-
of-town on a job, and she set a
superstar performance bar.
Denise taught 30 of the 85 training
classes. She created resumes for
several clients, many free of
charge. Denise connected with the
staff and volunteered on a couple
of occasions to speak to Fast
Track graduates. She presented
the class while an important visitor
from Austin observed. And,
Denise was the trainer’s point of
contact when I left the country
twice this year.

9. MVP Award
Katrina Floyd was a key player in
the success Exceed Resources
achieved this year. Without her, I
would not have had the muscle to
pull off such an accomplished
year. First, she helped me with my
uncle since April of this year:
caring for him, feeding him,
bathing him, transporting him, and
being his companion. On top of
that, she completed several
projects for Exceed this year,
including compiling the trainer
evaluation data. Katrina is not only
our Most Valuable Player, she is a
true blessing.
