Tobacco Statistics Past year illicit drug use rates among young adults aged 18 to 22 were similar for full-time college students (37.5%), part-time college students (38.5%), and nonstudents (38.4%) Among males, the rate of past year illicit drug use was lower for full-time college students than nonstudents (40% vs. 43%); but among females, the rate was higher for full-time college students than nonstudents (35% vs. 33%).
