2. Water Section There is more water than land on Earth. Oceans cover three quarters of the planet Earth.

3. Water Section 2 All known life depends on water.

4. Water Section 3 Water is 1 part oxygen and 2 parts hydrogen.

5. Water Section 4 Two thirds of the human body is made of water.

6. Water Cycle Water goes through many stages such as groundwater, clouds, and precipitation which is rain, snow, sleet, and hail.

7. Water Cycle 2 All water is recycled in the environment. Water evaporates and forms clouds and then returns to earth as precipitation.

8. Water Cycle 3 Less than 1 percent of the water on earth is drinkable.

9. Water Cycle 4 When water evaporates it changes its form and rises into the air. When the water vapor reaches the sky it becomes clouds.

10. Ocean Topography Ocean topography is the study of underwater landforms.

11. Ocean Topography 2 An underwater valley is called a trench.

12. Ocean Topography 3 Islands are the tops of underwater mountains.

13. Ocean Topography 4 The ocean floor is not flat, there are mountains and valleys

14. Ocean Currents and Tides Ocean currents are rivers in the ocean. Ocean currents are also not caused by a downhill force like a river on a mountain.

15. Ocean Currents and Tides 2 There are two kinds of tides, high tide and low tide. At high tide the water near the shore gets deeper and at low tide it gets shallower. Tides are caused by the gravitational pull of the moon.

16. Ocean Currents and Tides 3 Each tide happens twice a day. People can predict the tides.

17. Ocean Currents and Tides 4 The Gulf Stream is a famous ocean current.

18. How Do Humans Effect the Water Humans effect the water by building dams.

19. How Do Humans Effect the Water 2 Humans also effect the water by waging war and sinking NUCLEAR vessels.
