Dalia Sadany is an architect, interior designer, and entrepreneur who runs her own design firm called Dezines in Cairo. She studied computer science but switched to architecture after realizing Egypt lacked a distinct architectural identity. Sadany gained experience in construction management during a degree program in Italy. Upon returning to Egypt in 2005, she established two companies - one for construction and one for interiors and architecture - so she could be in control of projects from start to finish. Today her firm offers a full range of architecture, interior design, construction, and furniture services. Sadany aims to help define Egypt's architectural identity through initiatives to regulate building facades and styles nationwide.
