HOW DID YOU ATTRACT/ADDRESS YOUR
AUDIENCE?

of attracting our audience was through
feedback.

 For our group, one of the most effective ways
of attracting our audience was through

 The different age groups that watched Wraith
included young adults our age, fully grown
adults and people of older age.
 We came to the conclusion that the younger
adults preferred Wraith than to our oldest age
group (65+).
FEEDBACK
 An interesting comment that
our oldest age group made
was about the characters.

 They said that the film would
appeal to younger audiences
rather than older because of
the age of the characters.
FEEDBACK
 An interesting comment that
our oldest age group made
was about the characters.
 They said that the film would
appeal to younger audiences
rather than older because of
the age of the characters.
 Furthermore, they continued to
say that younger audiences
would rather see it because
they would be able to relate to
the characters because of their
age.
GENRE
 Another way we attracted our audience was
through the use of genre.
GENRE
 Another way we attracted our audience was
through the use of genre.
 Our chosen film genre is action/thriller which
mostly attracts male audiences ranging from
young adults up to senior ages.
GENRE
This pie chart shows a
percentage of the different
age groups that are
interested in the action
genre as a whole if you
include all sub genres. (50
people were asked)

This pie chart shows a

include all sub genres. (23
people were asked)
It shows that 96% of the 23
that like action films were
aged between 13-18, only
one out of the 23 were age
between 19-25 and none for
ages 26 and over.

The age group we
wanted to attract were
ages 15-30 and above.
So instead of the film
being a pure action we
wanted it to be more like
an espionage thriller so
we could have a wider
audience.
STYLE
 Action can be deemed as vague because
there are many different sub categories of
action as well as styles that action directors
incorporate into their works.
STYLE
 Action can be deemed as vague because

 As filmmakers, we wanted to add our own
style of direction, cinematography, shot types
etc to make it our unique film instead of a
carbon copy of a common action film.
STYLE
 As I said earlier, we
wanted to go with an
espionage action
thriller. This sub genre
of action is enjoyed by
a wider audience
rather than just pure
action which is mostly
limited to boys aged
13-18.

A big influence for our style was
The Jason Bourne franchise. This
is because of the style of action film
it is renowned for. The action
sequences include lots of cuts, and
beautiful cinematography which
was the style we wanted to
recreate.
NARRATIVE
 The narrative of Wraith was another way we
were able to attract our audience.
NARRATIVE
 The narrative of Wraith was another way we
were able to attract our audience.
 Our plot is about a man who avenges the
death of his parents by hunting down the
woman who killed them.
NARRATIVE
 The narrative of Wraith was another way we

 Our plot is about a man who avenges the

 Revenge is a big theme in the film and it is a
common theme in the action genre and that
plot narrative we thought would attract our
audience a lot more.
