The End
Our lecturers Ms. Delliya and Ms.
Norma had given us a brief
about our project one of ENBE.
Explain the brief to riverstone eco
resort
An important note prepared by our
lecturers for us to remind us what to
bring, our schedules and all the
informations about our site visit.
The brief told us how to
do our infographic
poster , presentation ,
and others
15 April 2013
7am in the morning :
- We gathered at Taylor’s University, wait for the
bus.
8:30 am
- Seperated into groups into different buses.
- Depart from Taylor’s University to Riverstone.
Journey to the Riverstone
The situation in bus
Departed from the bus and going
into the resort to check in our
room with heavy luggages.
Finally, we arrive
to the resort.
Its all about
nature, no
electricity before
7pm and
electricity on until
12am only . There
also no water
heater, no air-
conditioner, no
phone signal and
others.
Introduce of The resort and
brief
Outside view of our dorm.
Comments :
Well, we really can’t stand it at first when
we saw the blankets and bed sheets
were full of dust and they were dirty, but
it was solved when we changed them.
Our dorm :
Before starting our activities.
After putting
our luggages
into our dorm,
then we
gathered at the
hall . The hall
totally made by
wood and we
just listen to a
short brief by
Ms. D about this
visit.
First activity – Selecting site
 The first and most important thing of our
project one – Selecting our site.
 The site is very important, we need to
find data at the same time for our
infographic poster.
 With our lecturers advices , we followed
the staff of the resort to show us the area
of the resort. We are not allowed to get
too far from the resort because to ensure
our safety.
 With full of excitement, we began our
exploration.

Searching our site
and Doing
Research
Our first site
This is our first site.
At first we decided to make our site here, but after
we showed to our lecturer Ms Norma, she
suggested us to change to another site.
This is because, our site has to less information to, if
we are going to do it, we have to focus on some
elements until very detailed.
So, we decided to change our site to another spot.
Wow !!
Our first site.
It’s a hard decision to make
when we decide to change
our site, which means our
efforts before was wasted but
we have no choice. We just
do it.
We are required to :
i. Sketch or draw the layout of our site.
ii. Take photo and video record your site from all angles.
iii. Observe your site and get into everything as a group and
individually concentrate on the natural subject.
iv. Record everything on your site. Take note on the texture,
pattern, color , species of plant, animals and insect, what is it
eating, how it survive, how does it move, features and
characteristic of these natural elements, natural topography,
landscape, and as many natural elements on site.
v. Collect samples.
vi. Record the measurements on our site.
Collecting data
The 5 senses
We are required to record the things that excite our
senses:
Sight
I saw the water over there is clear until can see through
the bottom and the water flowing ,many rock, many
type of tree , Insect and some bird. I also saw some
small fish in the water.
c
Smell
I smell fresh air and the smell of water. Besides, I also smell
the smell of grass, tree and other. The air is so fresh. Its let
me know need to protect the environment from polluted.
c
Hear
I hear the sound of water flowing ,the sound of
bird crow, the sound of insect and the tree
sound make by wind blowing the leaf.
c
Feel
I feel more closer to the natural and I feel that the water
is clean, fresh and cool but the sand make my leg so
pain.
c
Taste
I taste the taste of water. It is tasteless and
same like normal water. The taste of leaf is so
bitter and taste of sand is a bit bitter.
c
Our sketching The Site
Free activity ,rest and doing logo
At 6pm we have free time. We do whatever we want.
At 7 .30 pm, we are having our dinner at down floor.
Then, Ms. D told us to make a logo for our group. So
We made our logo on the lobby.
Process of
making our
logo
The Furions Logo
This is our logo
The Furions
Our second site
In our second site, we found more
information over there. So we started to do
research about the insect, plant, animal
over there. The most important things is
there are safety more than our first site, it
water not deep, the water flowing not so
fast and easy to entry.
My
Research
about

The Leech The Fern
Leech
Leeches are the segmented worms that live in a wide rage of
environments including fresh water, salt water and on land . Some
leeches are carnivorous and swallow their prey whole, bot most are
parasitic, latching onto and moving across their hosts with two
sucking discs positioned on either end of their bodies.
• Most of them live in the shallow water, usually slow
moving water
• Some live in the ocean
• Some live in warm moist lands
• Those living in the ocean or river canals will found on
rocks or plants
• Those living on the land will found in rainforests or wet
coastal forests. They usually found clinging to plant or
under rocks
Introduction
Habitat
Fern
A fern is any one or more of a group of about
12,000 species of plants belonging to the botanical
group. Ferns first appear in the fossil record 360 million
years ago, but many of the current families and species
did not appear until roughly 145 million years ago.
Ferns are not of major economic importance, but some
are grown or gathered for food, as ornamental plants,
for remediating contaminated soils, and have been the
subject of research for their ability to remove some
chemical pollutants from the air. Some are significant
weeds. They also play a role in mythology, medicine,
and art.
Habitat
Some fern are adapted to a dry habitat but most prefer the shady moist
conditions of woodlands. They are particularly abundant in tropical
rainforests and in the modern world there are still thousands of different
species of this ancient and very successful group.
