General Concept
The general concept of the music videois based on the subgenre indie rock.
Due to this I will include common conventions from the genre such as it being
abstract and different from typical music videos making it stand out like most
indie rock artists try to in their music. I will also use other typical conventions
such as lighting effects which depend on the current mood of the song and the
use of convention indie rock instruments (e.g. guitars) featured in the music
video.My music video will be narrative and performance based, with what’s
happening in the song linking into what is happening in the music video.
Guidelines
The following guidelines are a set of rules to set out a structure of my
music proposal and treatment for my final music video.
My music video will be narrative and performance which will
relate to the lyrics of the song.
I will include a number of the typical conventions of the genres I
have chosen to make my music video seem more professional.
We will shoot indoors and outdoors. To make my video more
interesting.
My video will feature the entire band (Singer, guitarist and
drummer). As it will make my video look more professional and
interesting.

The band will have different styled costumes to make the video
relate to the indie genre and to make the video more visually
interesting.
I will have shots of the band performing.
I will feature close ups and long shots.
I will use simple cut to cut editing, with special effects throughout
the video.
The lighting will change brightness depending on the current
mood of the song.
The band will have a full set up including amps with cables.

Concerns:
I am concerned about finding good locations for my music video as they be
quite hard to find and may not be appropriate to film on (e.g. private land).I
am concerned that our crew may not be able to use the equipment properly as
we have not used it before.
