in an interactive in order to give a visual
impact and to help the understanding of
the phenomena recounted.

Dataninja is a collective. Founded in 2012
by Andrea Nelson Mauro (journalist) and
Alessio Cimarelli (data scientist), it's a
network of data journalists with the goal
of telling stories from data analysis and
visualization.

There was 5 exabytes of information
created between the dawn of civilization
through 2003, but that much information
is now created every 2 days, and the pace
is increasing

If journalism want to continue to tell the world and now a
large part of the world is made up of digital data, journalists
simply can't avoid having to deal with data.
